Council discussed a proposed revision to Preston Municipal Code 13.06.13 that would change the current requirement for existing properties to "shall" connect to city sewer when it becomes available to a more permissive "may" connect provision in certain circumstances. The draft would waive the city's connection fee for property owners who connect within 365 days of notification, though property owners would still be responsible for excavation and contractor costs.
