Board OKs 3% library funding increase; declines immediate contract change request

Library leaders asked the board to change contract language that caps the county contribution at 50% of a city's contribution, arguing rural circulation (Dunkerton in particular) merits an exception. Staff presented several options including meeting the state per-capita average and removing the 50% cap only for cities contributing more than $100,000.
