The Planning and Zoning Commission on July 13 recommended that the Zoning Board of Appeals grant an area variance for the Animal Protective Foundation at 53 Maple Avenue. Consultant Jay Steenburgh described a proposed 5,227‑square‑foot addition, parking reconfiguration and improved stormwater management; because parking would be within the 25‑foot front yard setback the project requires an area variance (proposed 10.7' where 25' is required).
