Residents and supervisors raised safety concerns about K Avenue and nearby detour routes, citing heavy detour traffic and sections of gravel that make the road “rumbly” and undrivable in places. The county engineer said chloride treatment is underway and crews will continue grading and related maintenance weekly; supervisors noted additional work is expected near Highway 63.
