The Kenosha County Board voted unanimously to adopt a temporary moratorium on the consideration and issuance of building permits, conditional-use permits and zoning approvals for battery energy storage systems pending an amended zoning ordinance. The moratorium was taken up immediately after the board suspended its rules to consider the item.
