Public hearing set for developer-backed Cali Ridge improvement district; commissioners will be developer-nominated
The Hot Springs board set a public hearing for Sept. 1 on a petition to form the Cali Ridge multi-purpose improvement district, a developer-driven mechanism to finance initial subdivision infrastructure. The petition was filed July 28; the developer has nominated three commissioners who do not currently live in the subdivision, the petition attorney said.

The Hot Springs Board of Directors voted to set a public hearing on Sept. 1 at 6 p.m. for a petition to form the Cali Ridge municipal property-owners multi-purpose improvement district, a district the petitioner says is intended to defer initial infrastructure costs for a roughly 25-acre subdivision.
