Council approves $2,548.40 QuickBooks upgrade to modernize borough accounting
Council authorized spending $2,548.40 to upgrade the borough's QuickBooks files and move 17-year-old accounting data to QuickBooks Silver, per a proposal from Number Made Easy; the software currently in use will lose support after January 2027.

The borough secretary reported that the current QuickBooks installation contains 17-year-old files and will no longer be supported after January 2027. The council voted May 4 to authorize spending $2,548.40 to update the accounting system and migrate records to QuickBooks Silver; the motion was made by Matt Charles and seconded by Dave Hitesman and carried.
