Trustees adopt collection development policy to unlock state funds, say it can be amended later
To secure state funding, the Anderson County Library Board voted to approve a collection development policy tonight with the understanding the policy will be reviewed and can be amended at the policy committee meeting scheduled for Sept. 3.

The board voted to adopt the system’s collection development policy so the library system can meet state requirements for funding. Trustees agreed the policy can be amended later and that adopting it now is necessary to obtain state disbursements for the budget year.
