Sweeny ISD updates purchasing policy thresholds in CDC (LOCAL)

At the Sept. 9 meeting the Sweeny ISD Board of Trustees approved revisions to Policy CDC (LOCAL) that establish clearer approval thresholds for purchases and contracts. Under the approved language, Principals and Directors may approve expenditures up to $1,999; the Superintendent may approve expenditures from $2,000 to $19,999; and purchases of $20,000 and above require board approval. The motion to adopt the change was made by Trina Smith and seconded by Bryan Douget; the minutes record a unanimous vote of the members present (4–0).
