The Sweeny ISD Board of Trustees approved additions to the district's 2025–2026 compensation plan at the Sept. 9 meeting, adding a $2,500 BBQ stipend, a $2,000 stipend for a high‑school tennis assistant and a $500 stipend for a district translator. The motion was made by Nikki Woods and seconded by Trina Smith; the minutes record the vote as unanimous among the four members present (4–0).
