Tunkhannock council adopts temporary weekend closure for Riverside Park
The Tunkhannock Borough Council adopted Resolution 3-2025 to close Riverside Park from 12:00 p.m. Saturday until 8:00 a.m. Monday after repeated disruptive behavior. The council also heard updates on the playground, a $2,500 mini-grant application, concert dates, and basketball-court work.

The Tunkhannock Borough Council voted unanimously Aug. 7 to adopt Resolution 3-2025, temporarily closing Riverside Park from 12:00 p.m. Saturday until 8:00 a.m. Monday. The motion to adopt the resolution was made by Councilmember Charles Mead and seconded by Tabitha Holliday; council recorded that the motion carried unanimously.
