Todd County approves $8,125 ditch maintenance contract for County Ditch 41, Lateral 6
The board authorized hiring Corbin Excavating to clear about 1,330 ft of County Ditch 41 Lateral 6 (tree removal and brush) for an estimated $8,125 to be paid from the County Ditch 41 maintenance fund; staff said no property assessment will be required because the fund balance covers the cost.

County ditch inspector Nancy presented a maintenance plan for County Ditch 41 Lateral 6, describing dense trees, brush and upland soils west of County Road 7 that are not suitable for the amphibious excavator and require a contractor with tree-removal equipment. Nancy summarized the recommendation: "The Todd County Board of Commissioners approves...hiring Corbin Excavating for services detailed in his estimate 10005 dated March 9th 2026 for maintenance of approximately 1330 ft of lateral 6 on county ditch 41..." She stated the financial implication: "Financial implications is $8,125. The funding source is the county ditch 41 maintenance fund and there will be not be an assessment to ditch 41 because there is enough money in the maintenance fund to cover this expense."
