Senate confirms Michael Soo to Fifth Circuit Court
The Senate unanimously confirmed Michael Soo to the Circuit Court of the Fifth Circuit after the judiciary committee reported Soo's prior judicial and prosecutorial experience and recommended consent.

The Senate considered Standing Committee Report No. 39-10 on Governor's Message No. 797 and consented to the appointment of Michael Soo to the Circuit Court of the Fifth Circuit. Senator Rhodes described Soo's background: prior confirmation to the district court in 2016, service as an elected prosecuting attorney for Kauai County, private practice experience, and participation on multiple judicial commissions.
