The Harwich Conservation Commission on Aug. 19 upheld a $5,100 fine against Champion Tree Service for clearcutting vegetation in the buffer to a bordering vegetated wetland at 0 and 19 Standish Woods Circle. The firm’s representative, Laura, said communication failures contributed to the absence from earlier hearings and offered cooperation and a restoration plan.
