The application includes a mandatory political activity compliance section stating that all organizations receiving county funds 'must comply with IRS rules regarding political activity for non-profits.' The form provides a definition: 'Political campaign activity means directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in any political campaign on behalf of or in opposition to any candidate for elective public office. This includes making contributions to campaign funds or making public statements for or against a candidate.' Applicants must sign to agree to adhere to these requirements.
