County to continue partnership with Penn State Extension under flat-fee agreement
County and Penn State Extension agreed to continue a long-standing partnership supporting agricultural programming; the arrangement will move from reimbursing out-of-pocket expenses to a flat annual fee paid quarterly, the same total amount as before.

A representative of Penn State Extension told the committee the extension program has long partnered with Northampton County to provide agricultural and farm-support services. The county and the extension have historically split expenses; under the proposed memorandum of understanding the county will instead pay a flat fee for the year in quarterly installments while the extension manages spending within agreed categories.
