The county auditor told the court that July 2025 unadjusted fund balances totaled $39,117,140 and that general fund collections were $28,851,162 versus last year's comparable figure. The auditor noted expenditure growth of about $2.6 million year over year, which she attributed mainly to public-safety costs, including new Motorola communications equipment associated with jail control rooms "a little less than $500,000," the auditor said.
