Planning staff presented a package of zoning ordinance amendments and asked the commission to recommend them to council. The first change ratifies an earlier council decision to permit tattoo parlors in C2, I1 and I2 zones with a 500‑foot separation requirement and specific operating hours (10 a.m.–9 p.m. Monday–Saturday; 2 p.m.–9 p.m. Sunday). The second change would add a listed permitted use of 'telephone exchange/fiber regeneration station' in the Public district so school property can host fiber infrastructure without a rezoning.
