County Manager Candace Bryan presented Resolution 2026‑03, which updates the county’s list of board and position appointments. The resolution prompted an extended discussion covering the Board of Review (statutory three‑to‑five membership), planning commission alternates, airport and wreck advisory boards, the Mount Massive/Cooper board, the Emergency Services Council and Forest Health Council, and several other advisory bodies. Commissioners raised whether to leave some seats vacant until staff completes a work session and whether proxies or backups should be established for boards with statutory requirements.
