Forsyth County board recognizes 18 school nurses for life-saving care
At its Aug. 18 meeting the board recognized 18 school nurses for life-saving care during the second semester of the 2025–26 school year, praising their preparedness and calm responses during emergencies.

Miss Heidi Aila introduced a recognition of 18 school nurses and thanked the board for supporting the district’s health staff. She said the nurses "responded with knowledge, skill, confidence, and always compassion" when emergencies occurred and called their work an "essential part of the day in keeping our schools and our community safe."
