Shane Willis reported that AV‑Tech’s experiment to control stop-sign brightness was unsuccessful and the vendor was unwilling to modify the signs. Willis said the district’s options were to leave the existing signs and manage lighting as needed or purchase signs with timers. He told the board the overall cost to date for four stop signs was $9,280, or $2,320 per sign, as shown in the unaudited financial statements.
