Committee finalizes morning program for Lower Makefield 9/11 remembrance

The committee chair outlined a finalized morning timeline for the Lower Makefield 9/11 remembrance: bell tolling, wreath placement, the Pledge of Allegiance, readings and musical pieces. The chair said the bell "will toll as always for all the um the different events for the day," and confirmed the morning start time of 8:30 a.m.

Organizers discussed recruiting Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts to perform the wreath placement and noted that Judy usually performs a reading; the group agreed to follow up to secure scouts despite it being a school day. The committee confirmed musical commitments, including Janine Babbo to sing the Star-Spangled Banner and a scheduled performance of Taps, during which the flag will be lowered to half-staff and then raised again. The chair also noted that Larry typically rings the bell and that the bell will be rung nine times in the morning for Lower Makefield.
