Board updates county facility-use and public-posting policies

The Board approved revisions to General Policy 14 (Use of County Owned Facilities) to add conference and meeting rooms at Medic locations, create a medium-size room category, set rental fees and minimum charges, and include after-hours staff costs in Attachment B. The policy changes also update responsibility for background checks for contractors and vendors working in county facilities. Separately, General Policy 21 (Posting of Material Policy) was updated to reflect Iowa law changes requiring the Board to adopt an annual location for posted public notices and to return approval of physical postings on bulletin boards and elevators to the Facility & Support Services Director (Resolution 170-2026).

These items were approved on the consent agenda (All Ayes). The minutes note state-department name updates and procedural clarifications but do not include the updated fee schedule or the full text of Attachment B in the minutes.
