Butler County commissioners approved Resolution No. 2026-13 on July 22, authorizing submission of an application to the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development for the 2026 Emergency Solutions Grant in the amount of $662,210. The funding is intended to support emergency shelter, homeless prevention and rapid rehousing services provided locally by Catholic Charities, The Care Center, VOICe and Glade Run Lutheran Services.
