Staff recommended maintaining prior practice of accepting few or no K–8 transfers while allowing up to 20 high-school transfers; board members discussed that past years typically filled about 8–14 seats at the high school.
A staff presenter explained that the proposed numbers are a working cap that the district has used historically to manage class sizes and program balance: “each year at this time the Board needs to set um the number for inter District transfers that they are willing to accept,” the presenter said. After brief discussion the board voted to adopt the recommended limits.
