The board voted 5–0 to pause the current RFQ for a forensic audit after Dr. Rogelio Segovia outlined options to continue, revise, or pause the RFQ and explained its relationship to internal audit work.

Dr. Rogelio Segovia presented the RFQ (request for qualifications) for a forensic audit and asked the board whether it wished to continue the original RFQ, revise it, or pause it while clarifying how the RFQ related to the district’s internal-audit functions. After a short discussion of options and committee relationship, Board member Julieta Sepulveda Ramirez moved and Angel Ornelas seconded to "pause the current RFQ Forensic Audit item." The motion carried 5–0.
