Committee approves NVHS program of studies, adds engineering and introductory physics
The School Committee approved NVHS curriculum changes adding Project Lead the Way Principles of Engineering and an Introduction to Physics course (grades 9–12). Officials said the engineering class builds on the advanced manufacturing pathway and intro physics will count as a science elective.

The committee voted to approve the NVHS program of studies, adding Project Lead the Way Principles of Engineering and a new Introduction to Physics course offered to students in grades 9–12. Mr. Beck and Mr. Carpenter described the engineering course as the next stage of the district's Advanced Manufacturing pathway and said roughly 10 students who began the introductory engineering sequence last year plan to continue.
