The Kermit ISD Board of Trustees met in closed session on Monday, Sept. 8, 2025, to interview a superintendent applicant who attended with a spouse, according to the meeting minutes. Board President Lee Lentz-Edwards opened the special called meeting at 7:01 p.m. and cited compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act (Texas Government Code Chapter 551).
