Dr. Chris Allen, superintendent of Midway ISD, said the district "adopted our tax rate for the 2026-2027 school year. Good news, it went down by 3 cents." The board approved the new rate during its recent meeting and the superintendent told viewers that, in general, most residential homeowners should see a decrease in what they pay on appraised values, though he cautioned this is not guaranteed for every individual homeowner.
