County boosts septic loan program to $1.25 million

Becky Buchholz, SWCD senior technician, told the Board of Commissioners the county currently has $284,000 in pre‑approved septic (SSTS) loans for this construction season but only $45,159.69 left in available loan funds. She said discussions with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency indicate the county may increase its MPCA Clean Water Partnership loan from $750,000 to $1,250,000 and extend the expiration date from April 2027 to March 2028.
