Following a closed session on personnel, trustees authorized Superintendent Joe Nicks to hire an elementary principal; the authorization passed unanimously with seven trustees voting in favor.

After returning from closed session at 8:00 p.m., the Rains ISD Board of Trustees voted to authorize the superintendent to hire an elementary principal. Trustee Robert Burns moved for authorization, Dr. Maggie Salem seconded, and the motion carried unanimously (For: Potts, Salem, Sisk, Christian, Burns, Taylor, Pitre).
