Gateway Center posts uneven July finances, hosts record youth convocation
Gateway Center leadership reported July revenue and expense figures for the arena, golf course and convention center, and said a Young Leaders Convocation brought roughly 15,000 attendees across multiple days, filling hotels and boosting parking revenue.

Giannis Bonner, who presented the operations update for the Gateway Center, told the board the Gateway Arena produced $38,000 in revenue and $328,000 in expenses in July; the golf course reported $39,000 in revenue and $74,000 in expenses, primarily due to green replacement work. Bonner said the convention center hosted a first‑time group generating $151,000 and another set of events with combined revenue of $463,000 and expenses of $668,000. Parking revenue for July was $166,000.
