Members said short A–Z blurbs in the design standards should be expanded and supplemented with appendices on paint breathability, masonry repair and repointing; they discussed using National Park Service preservation briefs as references.

Board members reviewed which technical topics should be expanded in appendices to the design standards: an appendix on paint (breathability, linseed oil vs. latex, and conservator guidance), an appendix on masonry and repointing, and a bibliography/resource appendix. Members agreed some A–Z entries can remain brief while technical guidance should appear in appendices or linked resources.
