Dylan Evans, landfill manager, told the commission that work on a previously approved scraper rebuild uncovered more structural damage than anticipated, including a bent crankshaft and additional line-boring needs. He requested amending the rebuild quote to add about $145,000 to the project and said Caterpillar offered an additional 8% discount on parts after negotiation.
