Town Manager Karen Astley told the Selectboard that 4.1 acres had been transferred to the Forest for Learning without a previously recorded easement that would have required the land to remain with the Town. Astley said the Forest for Learning board is considering options and that the town could ask the group to steward the trail entrance and deed the land back, or the town could find substitute land of equal value, a process estimated to take two years.
