A resident raised concerns that a county contractor had withdrawn water from what the resident called a "private stream." Staff explained the contractor drew water off a county bridge for project needs and estimated the total used over three days was below the DEC permitting threshold. The transcript records staff saying that any water withdrawal under 100,000 gallons per day does not require a DEC permit and that the contractor used screened intake to protect aquatic life. The chair moved that no further study was required and the committee approved the motion.
