Faced with a vacancy after the tree warden’s retirement, the TA described interest from two department heads and proposed a temporary arrangement. The board moved to appoint Jim Smith (highway superintendent) as interim tree warden and amended the motion to allow the TA to finalize administrative details; that motion passed by roll call.
