Board members flagged concerns about the town’s previously authorized Flock (license-plate reader) system after a resident emailed questions and board members noticed recent reports about the vendor. The item was placed on the agenda for Sept. 21 when a county sheriff’s captain will present details and answer questions about ownership of captured data, who may query the system, retention periods, audit controls and options for contract termination if abuse is identified.
