Family Resource Center reports 200+ kits distributed and mounting housing needs
The Family Resource Center director said the fall back-to-school fair provided more than 200 supply kits and that the center has contacted all families who identified as houseless; she reported 45 families (85 students) have received services in the first six weeks and said housing remains the largest unmet need.

Family Resource Center Director Cheryl Harmon told the board the fall resource fair distributed over 200 supply kits and backpacks and that staff have reached out to every family who self-identified as houseless this year. In the first six weeks of school, staff worked with 45 families representing about 85 students to help with essentials such as utility bills, rent deposits, clothing and transportation.
