During the discussion session Commissioner Steve said the county could have handled recent widespread water‑main breaks better and described a meeting with EMA and department staff to upgrade communications and synchronize operations with public safety. "We could have handled it better. We need to handle it better," he said, and encouraged residents to sign up for the county EMA notification system.
