Library transfer motion fails; clerk training and summer hours approved
A motion to transfer $4,894.28 from the library to an MMDA fund failed for lack of a second. The council approved clerk training in Ames and adjusted City Hall summer hours.

During routine business the council considered a proposed transfer of $4,894.28 from the library to an MMDA fund. Council member Sara Hamilton moved to authorize the transfer but the motion received no second and therefore failed. The minutes record: "Hamilton made a motion to approve the Library transferring $4,894.28 into a MMDA fund. No second, motion failed."
