Board clarifies townhouse and duplex definitions in Land Development Code

The board unanimously approved ordinance 2026-048 amending Article 32 of the Nassau County Land Development Code to clarify definitions for townhouse dwellings and two-family dwellings (duplexes). Senior planner Adam Olsen told the board the amendment clarifies that a townhouse dwelling may consist of a minimum of two dwelling units (not three) and that a duplex must be located on a single parcel, not separated across parcels.
