As the Main Street tree project moves into procurement, task force members discussed a proposed memorial tree sponsorship program that would allow residents or businesses to sponsor a Main Street planting. Lori Develin said a suggested $500 contribution would offset planting and early-care costs and count toward the required 50% local match for the $75,000 DEC grant.
