Members reported that several elms planted by the conservation commission in 2007 have declined, and Malcolm McShinsky said previous mower activity likely girdled trunks and contributed to poor health. The commission agreed the trees need further assessment and Erik Skarsten will contact the town tree warden to see what assistance or remediation might be available.
