Engineers, contractor explain date errors and schedule bump for 2700 lift station

Gardner Engineering and Corio Construction told the board that a clerical error in drafted change‑order dates altered computed completion‑day totals, and that added electrical work and air‑gap boxes have pushed substantial completion to Sept. 2 and final completion toward Oct. 4; demolition of the old building is scheduled to begin on the 31st.

Ryker of Gardner Engineering told the board he "prepared the amendment" and identified an error: the amendment listed April 7 and April 21 for substantial and final completion, but change order three shows actual dates of June 5 (substantial) and June 19 (final). "That would make the substantial completion days 89 days, not 148, and then the final payment days 110 not 148," Ryker said, noting the arithmetic changes to the draft change order.
