Box Elder County’s code specifies public-notice procedures for zoning map amendments. For a typical amendment, the area directly affected is the parcel or parcels petitioning for the amendment; the county requires a public notice be posted on the property and courtesy notices sent to adjacent property owners. For zoning map amendments affecting 5,000 acres or more of unincorporated county, the code requires posting on major roadways in addition to courtesy notices to private real-property owners.
