Senator Caballero recognized Jonathan Alfaro Saravia and Christopher Torres Alfaro of Mendota High School for winning first place at the MESA National Engineering Design Competition at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory. Caballero said the students designed "Safe Space," a multilingual crisis-response system that provides anonymous, real-time mental-health support for students.
