A motion to set salary expenses and allowances for fiscal year 2026–27 was put before the Freestone County court after officials noted recent changes had already been published in the paper. The presiding officer asked, "Is there a motion to set the salaries based off of the salary changes we made previously today?" and a court member seconded the motion.
