Fire district reports heavy call volume; live-wire training and vehicle replacement planned

A representative for the fire commissioners reported Old Forge had 108 calls over the stated reporting period and announced an ice-rescue drill on Feb. 1 that will include departments from neighboring districts. The commissioner said the district is seeking volunteers to observe and described a mid-May live-wire training to be conducted by National Grid.
