Taylor Keller presented the administration's recommendation to adopt new high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) for K–5 English Language Arts, Geometry and Algebra II, asserting the materials align with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). As required under Texas Education Code §31.004, the board must ratify the Certification of Provision of Instructional Materials in open session; trustees approved the recommendation and the certification on a motion by Russ Garner, seconded by Amanda Jones, with a roll-call vote of 4 in favor, 0 opposed and 3 absent.
